Mr. and Mrs. Max H. Goldhoff, of Webb Ave., announce the
graduation of their son, Irwin, from the University of Miami
school of psychology. He is a member of Psi Chi, national hon-
orary psychology fraternity. Irwin will return to school this month
to work towards his master's degree in psychology.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Chadwick, of Ewald Circle, have return-
ed from a visit to New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Karbal, of Stratford Rd., have left for
Miami Beach, Fla., where they will spend the remainder of the
winter months.
Rev. and Mrs. Jacob Silverman, of Detroit, have left for Chi-
cago, Ill., where they will attend the wedding of their grandson,
Herbert Leib, on Saturday, in the Blackstone Hotel. Rev. Silver-
man will officiate at the ceremony.
Mr. Jared Schubiner, of the Elliott Travel Service, has left
for New Orleans, La., to inspect the new SS Antilles, of the French
Line.
In honor of the 10th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs.
Sidney M. Levine, a surprise party was recently tendered at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Krut.
An open house will be held from 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, at the
home of Mr. Myron J. Solomon, 3330 Burlingame, honoring the
return. of his son-in-law, Ira Albion, who served for 16 months
with the U. S. Army in Korea. Friends and relatives are invited
to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Kaplan, of 2605 Sturtevant, will cele-
brate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday. A reception will
be held at the home of their son, Max Kaplan, 2977 W. Outer
Drive, at 8:30 p.m. Their friends and relatives are invited to
attend this happy occasion.
Mr. and Mrs. Menashe Haar of Santa Barbara Drive held an
open house in honor of the graduation of their daughter, Ellen,
from the University of Michigan.
Attending the dinner and reception in honor of the Bar Mitz-
vah of Harvey Fink, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fink, of 2989 Fuller-
ton, on Jan. 31, at Holiday Manor, were several important leaders
of the Republican Party, including Sen. Charles Potter, Mrs. Jesse
P. Wolcott, wife of Rep. Wolcott, of Michigan's 7th District, and
Lt. Gov. Clarence Held. The boy's Bar Mitzvah was observed the
previous day at Cong. Beth Moses.
The Wayne University Theatre's production of "The Skin of
Our Teeth," features a cast including Joan E. Erman, of 2696
Burlingame, who plays the part of a drum majorette at Atlantic
City. Miss Erman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Erman,
is a junior in the college of education at Wayne. She has
been active as a singer, with the WJR chorus and the Jewish
Center Chorus group, and appeared last year in "Away We Go,"
the Wayne University Men's Union musical. She has also done
dramatic work at the University of Detroit.
Miss Judith Dzodin, of Elmhurst Ave., and Miss Faye Schrage,
of Washburn Ave., have returned from a five-day stay in Toronto,
Ont., where both celebated their 15th birthdays.
Morris Ring, of Cortland Ave., left for Israel aboard the SS
Jerusalem for a three-month visit with his daughter and sister at
Kibbutz Barkai, near . Hadera.
Mrs. Anna Dunitz, of Ward Ave., sailed on the S.S. Jerusalem
for an extended visit in Israel, Italy, Switzerland and France.
Mrs. Miram Cohen left aboard the Israel flagship S.S. Jerusa-
lem to spend the spring with relatives in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Sam Stollman, of Glendale Ave., left for Europe recently
aboard HMS Queen Mary. After a brief visit in Paris, Mr. Stollman
will fly via El Al to Israel.
Seaman Kurt Zimmerman, of the S.S. Jerusalem, arrived in
Detroit last weekend to visit with his sister, Mrs. Else Siegler, of
Birwood Ave.

Haivri), of which Dr. Moses Ein-
horn of New York is editor, con-
tains contributions in Hebrew,
with ample summaries in Eng-
lish, of general interest to the
medical profession, and • some of
special interest to the Jewish
physician as well as to the lay-
men.
One of the outstanding con-
tributions in the section called
"Israel and Health" is by Dr.
A. A. Schwarzbart, consultant at
the Malben Hospital in Tel Aviv.

The bride's gown was of pure
silk ivory taffeta, featuring a
neckline appliqued in Alencon
lace and seed pearls. Falling
from her crown of matching lace
and pearls was a tiered veil of
silk illusion. She carried a bou-
quet of white roses.
Marion Novominsky was maid
of honor, and Mrs. Alfred Lan-
dau, sister of the bride, was ma-
tron of honor. The bridesmaids
included Lorraine Freedman,
Janet Wexler, Diane Chessler,
Diane Tachman, Mrs. George
Vernick, sister of the bridegroom
and Karen Weintraub.
Milton Siegel was the bride-
groom's best man, and ushers
were Stanley Klein, of New York,
Robert Green, of Chicago, Bert
Stein, Alfred Landau, Jack Guz
and Larry Sklar.
Following dinner and a recep-
tion, the couple left for a honey-
moon in New York, Washing-
ton, D. C. and Miami Beach, Fla.
On their return, they will re-
side in Flint.

Northwest Israel Adds
To Expansion Program

A new piece of ground, adja-
cent to Northwest Israel Syna-
gogue and Center, has been pur-
chased by the organization as
part of its expansion program.
The synagogue offers daily
morning and afternoon, Satur-
day and holiday services; a story
hour for children, a young peo-
ple's club and Sisterhood. A
nursery for children and a re-
ligious school, with classes five
days a week, are held in the
synagogue by Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah,
