New Technion Committee To Head Jr. Division

J. W. Wunsch, president of
the American Technion Society,
announced that the society has
formed a patent and research
committee to assist Israel
inventors and make American
inventions available to Jewish
industry. The committee was
formed with the cooperation of
the Jewish Agency for Pales-
tine.

of the Philadelphia Chapter
of the American Technion So-
ciety, is national chairman of
the new committee. Mr. Ross-
man, a prominent patent attor-
ney, author and chemical engi-
neer, was one of the originators
of the plan to set up the patent
and research group.
The idea developed some time
ago when Zeev Wieseltier, of
the Israel Inventors Associa-
tion, posed the problem to the
Jewish Agency in New York,
after which former Detroiter
Victor Avrunin, technical ad-
viser of the Agency,worked with
Mr. Rossman in', developing the
proj ect.
Chosen industrial advisory
member of the committee was
Leon Kay (petro- chemical),
Keystone Oil Refining Co., De-
troit.

Council Joins Fight
On Bricker Amendment

The Jewish Council, in a com-
munication to Senators Fergu-
son and Potter, urged the defeat
of the Bricker Amendment and
of any alternative proposals that
might be submitted to Congress.
The Council commended Presi-
dent Eisenhower for opposing
the Bricker Amendment.
This move coincides with simi-
lar action undertaken by na-
tional Jewish organizations and
by NCRAC. Their opposition is
not only on the grounds that it
reverses traditional processes but
that it is aimed at such goals as
adoption of the United Nations
Genocide Convention and the
Covenant on Human Rights.

When Mary Frankel was
chosen master of ceremonies of
a Hillsdale College program at
which school leaders were in-

himself would be tapped as a
member of Omicron Delta Kap-

At that moment, the MC was
ruffled for the first time during
the evening, since the honor was
unexpected. ODK is a national
fraternity recognizing students
