Hadassah Sounds
Call for Supplies

Mrs. William B. Isenberg, De-
troit Chapter of Hadassah pres-
ident, has received an SOS call
from the national office, which
calls for intensified effort in re-
stocking supplies in Hadassah's
hospitals and health centers in
Israel.
To aid in this battle for the
health of Israelis, the Detroit
Chapter has advanced its cus-
tomary Hadassah Supply Show-
ers to February instead of in
April.
Emergency group meetings
have been planned by all Ha-
dassah groups on Feb. 9. All will
feature supply showers, which
begin with luncheonettes at
12:30 p.m. At these programs,
too, new members will be hon-
ored and membership awards
presented. Below is a schedule
of group meetings:
Bagley, University North and
South—Meet at Adas Shalom
Synagogue. The skit, "Love,
Honor and Be Gay," will be fea-
tured.
Central East—At Detroit His-
torical Museum. Following talk
by Mrs. Alexander Sanders on
"Impressions of My Recent Trip
to Israel," a conducted tour of
the museum is scheduled.
Central West — At Zionist
House. Guest speaker is Mrs.
Morris Adler.
Russell Woods East—At home
of Mrs: Herschel Roth, 2711
Cortland. Feature is a "koffee
klatsch" and sewing circle for
Hadassah supplies, followed by
a book review of Sholem Alei-
chem's "Mottel, the Cantor's
Son" by Mrs. Joshua Sperka.
Russell Woods West—At Rose
Sittig Cohen Bldg. Sewing bee
for Hadassah supplies and ex-
hibit of "Israel Supplies Life-
line" will be featured.
Schaefer-Greenfield—At home
of Mrs. Morton Bechek, 14044
Vassar, highlighted by a book
review by Mrs. Arthur Robbins.
Sherwood—At home of Mrs.
Al Padover, . 19621 Canterbury.
The movie, "The Living Future,"
will be shown, along with other
entertainment.
University East — At home of
Mrs. Sol Dann, 18000 Parkside.
Musical program to feature
Rhoda Zahavie Shames, accom-
panied by Mrs. Harry Obserstein,
in "Jewish Music Through the
Ages."
Wyoming— At Beth Aaron
Synagogue. Rabbi Minard Klein
will speak on "What Every Jew-
ish Woman Should Know."

Gamma Chi Epsilon Honorary
Fraternity. He is a member of
the junior class at Harvard
School of Dental Medicine, Bos-
ton.

elect attends Wayne University
where she is working towards a
bachelor's degree in sociology.
Pvt. Nathan, who received his
bachelor's and master's degrees
in sociology, is presently serving
with the U. S. Army, and is sta-
tioned at Fort Bliss, Tex. An
early April wedding is planned.

gagement of Mrs. Charlip's sis-
ter, Corrine Steinman, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Meyer
Steinman, to Jack Borenkraut,

rael M. Borenkraut. The wed-
ding will be solemnized on Feb.

Feldstein. Janice is a junior at
the University of California at
Berkeley. The bridegroom-elect
is a 1952 graduate of the Uni-
versity of California and is a
member of Kappa Nu fraternity.
The couple plans an August
