Adult Institute
Plans Seminar
For Mothers

A special seminar for Jewish
mothers is being held as part
of the Synagogue Adult Insti-
tute, the adult education pro-
gram sponsored by Detroit's five
Conservative congregations.
Classes are held at 10:30 a.m.,
and this Wednesday will feature
a lecture by Rabbi Jacob E.
Segal on "Teaching the Ideas
of God to Children." Subsequent
talks will be delivered by Rabbi
Benjamin H. Gorrelick on Jan.
27; Rabbi Morris Adler on Feb.
3; and Rabbi Jacob Chinitz on
Feb. 10.
Regardless of affiliation, all
mothers interested in the series
on the Jewish home, children
and family are invited to regis-
ter. There is no charge for Adult
Institute enrollees.
Meanwhile, plans are under-
way for the second semester of
the Institute, which will be con-
ducted weekly from Jan. 26
through March 30, stated Max
Biber, chairman.
New registrants may sign up
on the first evening of the term.
There is no additional charge
for those already registered for
classes, which includes courses
by Rabbi Morris Adler on "The
Making of the Modern Jew," and
Rabbi. Jacob E. Segal on "Ethics
of Our Fathers."
Classes are held each Tues-
day, at Ada.s Shalom Synagogue.
