A testimonial luncheon honoring . Mrs. Theodore (Mina) Bargman, of 19551 Burlington
Driye, will take place Thursday, January 14, 12:00 noon, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
2900 West Chicago Boulevard, under the sponsorship of the Detroit Women's Division for
State of Israel Bonds.
Announcing the special tribute to the Women's Division Chairman, Mrs. Milton
Mahler and Mrs. Joseph Katchke, Chairmen for the Testimonial, said that.. the community
was honoring Mina. Bargman "for her many, many years of devoted service to our com-
munity; for her outstanding achievements in the field of human relations; for her untiring
!efforts toward the establishment and development of the State of Israel."

Long active in communal and
philanthropic activities, Mrs.
Bargman has been Chairman of
the Detroit Israel Bond Wom-
en's Division since the inception
of the Bond Drive in 1951. In
this capacity, she was one of
four women in the U. S. to re-
cently receive the "BIG Wheel"
Award at the National Economic
Conference for Israel in Wash-
ington, D. C., "for her dynamic
leadership and devoted effort for

Social Service Bureau for 18
years, Mina Bargman serves as
President of that organization.
This has put her in close con-
tact with the United Founda-
tion, in which she is a Board
Member of the United Commun-
ity Services and a Delegate to
the General Assembly of the
Family Service Association of
America.
Elected President of the De-
troit Chapter of Hadassah in.
1949, she served two terms, and
during this period she was also
a member of Hadassah's Na-
tional Board. She has also held
the position of Treasurer of the
Central States Region of Ha-
dassah.
