To Carry Through

Our 4 Points for '54

1) REHABILITATION

The Histadrut this year will assist thousands of families to move from "city

to village." Will help immigrants to become established in useful trades and
occupations and thereby reduce the high level of joblessness which pre-

vailed in 1952.

2) HEALTH

Complete medical service to a million men, women and children covering
65% of the population without regard to religious or poNittical affiliation.

Expansion of Kupat Holim's service is imperative in face of the needs of a

growing population.

3) TRAINING

made the De-
lrut Campaign
America. May

ements, to the
great ideal—a
state of Israel.

Young people in Israel today clamor for technical training. Histadrut through
its system of trade schools has been instrumental in training thousands of
youths and adults—immigrant and native born "sabre alike.

4) CULTURAL

The cultural needs in Israel are complex, ranging from advanced courses on
a university level to elementary classes for illiterates. Histadrut gives a high
priority to educational activities such as Hebrew language courses, art, music,
drama, travelling libraries, lectures, and seminars in rural communities and

immigrant villages.
