At a recent family dinner, Mr.
and Mrs. Ben - Nosanchuk, of
15120 Pembroke, announced the
engagement of their daughter,
Sydell, to Douglas Allen Schu-
bot, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jules
P. Schubot, of 19583 Shrewsbury.
The bride-elect is graduating
from Michigan State College
this June. Her fiance is an MSC
alumnus, and is affiliated with
Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. Mr.
Schubot will enter the United
States Air Force on Jan. 1, and
will serve as a commissioned
officer at Lackland Air Base,
San Antonio, Tex.
A summer wedding is planned..

announce the marriage on Dec
20 of their daughter, Judith
Ann, to Robert Goren, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Goren, o f
31st St. The ceremony was per-
formed by Rabbi Jacob E. Sega
in the presence of the imme-
diate families. Mrs. Harold
Langberg, sister of the bride-
groom, attended the bride, while
the bride's brother, Richard
Wise, was best man. A wedding
dinner was held at the Statler
Hotel, and was followed by an
evening reception at the home
of the bride's parents. Both
young people attend Wayne Uni-
versity where Mrs. Goren is a
senior in the college of liberal
arts and Mr. Goren is a junior
in the university's law school.
Following a wedding trip to New
Orleans, La., the couple will re-
side on North Martindale Ave.

Rothman, daughter of Dr. and
Mrs. Herman R. Rothman, of
-Canterbury Rd., repeated mar-
riage vows with Edwin Bean, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Bean,
of Asbury Park Ave., in a recent
candle-light ceremoney. read at
Temple Israel by Rabbi Leon
Fram.
The bride wore a white satin
and tulle gown, styled with a
fitted bodice and a portrait neck-
line edged with alencon lace.
The skirt had a chapel length
train. The fingertip veil was held
m place by a headdress of white
lace, and she carried white or-
chids, fashioned with stephan-
otis and ivy, on a family Bible.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Harold Grossman, and brides-
maids were Marjorie Kuttnauer

cousin, Patricia Davis, of James-
town, N.Y., was junior brides-
maid. Edward Broida was the
best man, and seating the guests

Following the ceremony, a re-
ception was held in the temple.
After their honeymoon, the
couple will reside in East Lan-
sing, where both are attending
Michigan State College.

Betrothal Announced
To Former Detroiter

A fashion show, catered lunch-
eon and operetta will be featur-
ed at the annual donor event, to
be sponsored by the Adas Sha-
lom Sisterhood on Feb. 3, it was
announced this week by Mrs.
Herbert L. Harris, president.
Leading local stores will con-
tribute their wares to the fash-
ion show, which includes a pre-
view of spring fashions and furs.
A cast of 30 is currently pre-
paring the operetta, which is di-
rected by Mrs. David Holtzman.
Other participants in the pro-
gram include Mesdames Irving
Feldman, who will deliver hu-
morous readings, and Norman
Allan and Sam Eisenberg, who
will offer a piano duet. The Sis-
terhood choral group, directed
by Mrs. Joseph Markel, will de-
liver a musical invocation.

chairman, advises that reserva-
tions should be placed early by

Open Tamarack to Youth
During Winter Vacation

Young Adults of the Jewish
Community Center will partici-
pate in a winter outing at Camp
Tamarack today :through Sun-
day, while teen-agers take over
the area from Sunday through
Tuesday.
The Center also offerss-a three-
day. camp for children 6 to 12,
at the Davison branch, from
Monday to Thursday. The 9 to 12
group will have its fling at Tam-
arack, with outings from Tues-
