JERUSALEM, (JTA) — The

Israel. Parliament adopted a

law permitting the Jewish
National Fund to register as
an Israel Corporation and
giving it certain priorities in
the acquisition of land in the
Jewish state. All deputies. ex-
cept the Communists, voted
for the measure.
Earlier, at a youth confer-
ence here, Dr. Abraham
Granott, manager of the JNF,
reported that 80 percent of
all land owned in Israel is
held by the JNF.
The government agricul-
tural advisory board began
consideration of a plan de-
signed to bring Israel to the
point of agricultural indepen-
dence within seven years. The
seven year agricultural plan
was presented to Parliament
earlier as a portion of the
overall seven - year develop-
ment budget.

Israel Police Capture
Escaped Terrorist

TEL AVIV, (JTA) — Shimon
Bachar, young leader of an un-
derground terrorist organiza-
tion, broken up by the Israeli
police earlier this year, was cap-
tured in Tel Aviv central bus
station.
Bachar, who was sentenced to
12 years' imprisonment in ab-
sentia, broke jail and fled sev-
eral days before his trial ended.
Bachar. was given the longest
sentence of any of the 13 youths
convicted of membership in the
organization and accused of a
number of terrorist acts includ-
ing attacks on the Soviet and
Czech legations in Tel Aviv.
