mission. He urged his audience
to introduce literary readings
in homes, thereby advancing in-
terest in Jewish books. He pur-
sued the same routine Sunday
evening, when the program em-
phasized Hebrew and Yiddish
literature.
Other participating authors
included Rabbi Louis B. Kertzer,
Mrs. Nora B. Kubie and teen-
ager Sharon Ross.
A book pageant written by
Mrs. J. S. Sperka and songs by
Emma Schaver were additional
features at the programs Satur-
day and Sunday nights, respec-
tively.
Mrs. Harry L. Jackson headed
the committee on arrangements,
whose successful work in organ-
izing the Jewish Book Month
observance is being widely com-
mended.
