Histadrut Drive
A candlelight ceremony o n
Oct. 31 in the Hart Hotel, Battle
Creek, united in marriage Eve-
lyn Star, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Mitchell Starr, of Battle
Creek, to Jack E. Leiderman, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Leider-
man, of Detroit.
The bride wore a gown of im-
ported chantilly lace, embroid-
ered at the neckline and
waist with shimmering paillets
and seed pearls. The bodice was
of fitted basque style, and the
bouffant skirt of lace was worn
over a slipper satin slip. The
fulness of the skirt formed the
traditional train.
Her full illusion veil of finger-
tip length was held in place by
a matching satin, paillete and
lace halo headdress, and she
carried a spray of white orchids.
Mrs. Harry Siegel, sister of the
bridegroom, was matron of hon-
or, and bridesmaids were Frieda
Pogonetz, Natalie Liebskar and
Rena Starr, all cousins of the
bride from Chicago, Marjorie
Star, another cousin, and De-
lores Silver, of Detroit.
Barbara Siegel, • of Shaker
Heights, 0., and Jandra Jaeger,
of Linden, N. J., were junior
bridesmaids, and their sisters,
Donna Siegel and Beverly Jae-
ger, were flower girls. All are
nieces of the bridegroom.
Marvin Check, of Detroit, was
best man, and ushers included
Fred Wolf, William Ernst, Al
Fealk, Raymond Schmeltzer and
Edward Markoff. The bride-
groom's nephew, Barry Siegel,
was ringbearer.
Following a dinner for 300
guests at the Hart, the couple
left for a month's honeymoon
in Hawaii. They plan to return
by way of San Francisco and
Las Vegas, and will reside in
Battle Creek.
