In a ceremony Nov. 1, in the
Flamingo Room of the Hotel De-
troiter,joyce Rashti, daughter of
Mr. and. Mrs. Kaye J. Rashti, of
18484 Greenlawn, became the
bride of Dr. Allen Sosin, son: of
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Sosin, of
2677 Collingwood. Rabbi Jacob
E. Segal officiated.
The bride wore a gown of
Italian silk taffeta with a por-
trait neckline, formed by a fold
of taffeta appliqued in hard-
corded alencon lace and small
seed pearls. Her bouffant skirt
was appliqued in the matching
lace and pearls, and fell into a
traditional train. Her two-tiered
veil of white, silk fingertip il-
lusion was held in place by
shirred illusion Juliet cap of .the
lace.
Mrs. William Marcus, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor,
and Mary Judy Kallet, Ruth
Kahn and Janet Sosin were the
bridesmaids. Ralph Sosin was his
brother's best man, and ushers
included • Dr. Milton Shifman,
Don Sheldon, William Barish
and Mark Bodler.
The bride is a graduate of the
University of Michigan where
she was affiliated with Alpha
Epsilon Phi sorority. Dr. Sosin
graduated from U of M's Medical
School, and is affiliated with
Phi Sigma Delta and Phi Delta
Epsilon frtternities.

Center Adult Institute Lists Changes

In Programs, Those Open for Registration

The Jewish Community Cen-
ter this month opened its new
Adult Institute which has been
hailed throughout the nation as
"one of the most ambitious and
best planned undertakings of
its kind.'.;
Under the direction of Dr.
Harry Lerner, adult department
supervisor, .more than 40 in-
formal courses, hobby groups
and clubs were launched. Sev-
eral courses, listed below are
open for enrollment, have been
changed or cancelled:
"Oil Painting;" taught at 10:30
a.m., each Sunday, at the Wood-
ward Center, directed by noted
Detroit artist Ben Glicker, whose
own works are currently on ex-
hibition at the Garelick Gallery.
"Creative Ceramics," offered
as part of the Ladies' Day
program at 1:15 p.m. (instead of
the original 2:45), every Thurs-
day, at the Davison Center, with
Helen Spiro, instructor.

"Getting More Out of Music,"
