A promising, young Detroit
pianist will be guest of honor
at an open house and reception
of the Music Study Club, which
several years ago recognized his
ability and granted him a schol-
arship.
The pianist is Kurt Saffir,
who is in Detroit this week to
appear with the New York City
Opera Company, which he serves
in the capacity of coach and
pianist. •
Saffir will be feted at a lunch-
