ZOA to Send 135 Delegates
To National Zionist Assembly

will be represented by 135 dele-
gates at the forthcoming Na-
tional Zionist Assembly which
has been convened by the Amer-

Rich Israel Banana Harvest
TIBERIAS, (IIP) — First ex-
ports of the banana season are
scheduled to leave the country
early next month.
With an anticipated harvest
this year of 14,000 tons, plans
for the export of 2,500 tons have
been prepared. About 1,250 tons
will be sent to north European
countries.

CHICAGO, (AJP)—The urgen-
cy of bringing peace to the Mid-
dle East was stressed here last
week by publishers of the Eng-
lish-Jewish press, gathering at
the semi-annual executive board
meeting of the American Asso-
ciation of English-Jewish News-
p a p e r s. In a unanimously-
adopted resolution, the pub-
lishers, representing 30 news-
papers across the country, called
on the United States govern-
ment to use its influence in ef-
fecting direct negotiations be-
tween the State of Israel and
the Arab states, aiming at the
peaceful co - existence between
the two warring factions.

son's first delegate assembly will
be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The place will be announced in
