Detroiters at the Cleveland conference of the United Jewish
Appeal last week-end included Joseph Holtzman, Mr. and Mrs.
Abe Kasle, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Slomovitz, Mr and Mrs. Irving W.
Blumberg, Mrs. John C. Hopp, Isidore Sobeloff and Mr. and Mrs.
Harry L. Jones.
Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Blum have left for Mexico where Dr.
Blum will lecture on oral and plastic surgery. From there they
will go for a brief stay in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Saul Eskow of Sturtevant Ave. last week hosted
a farewell party in honor of Benson Litvok and Harvey Steingold,
both of whom are entering on a tour of duty with the armed
forces.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Goldman and daughter, Annette, for-
merly of Sturtevant Ave., are now residing at 17396 Stoepel.
Mrs. Harry Schwartz, sons, Arthur and David, and sister, Elsie
Zarav, have moved from Sturtevant Ave., and are now residing at
18478 Prest.
- At a recent sweet sixteen party given in honor of Elaine Sonja
Kartzman, da.ughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Kartzman,• of Men-
dota. Ave., the following guests attended a luncheon in the family
home: Brenda Kartzman, her sister, Jackie Thomas, Renee Gold-
stein, Sharon Steinman, Marsha Victor, Barbara Wootner, Flor-
ence Rosenthal, Carol Hertz, of Kingsville, Ont., Brenda Rycus,
Diane Arkin, Arlene Feldman, Betty Gold, Miriam Shure, Marilyn
Moss and Marilyn Hechler.
Mr. and Mrs. Leizer Bordorley. of 3315 Sturtevant, recently
honored their daughter, Carol, at a sweet sixteen party. Those at-
tending included Sy Warshawsky, Marilyn Young, Norman Weiss,
Marsha Victor, Al Cornfield, Sharon Steinman, Ronnie Mooger-
man, Estelle Louder, Allan Roth, Shirley Kazdan, Stuart Wilhelm,
Marilyn Bez, Arnie Garber, Judy Nelson, Dicky Mendelsohn, Sandy
Weisman, Al Sunshine, Barbara Mallerman, Larry Brower, Bev-
erly Cohen, Warren Wolfe, Rosalie Weiss, Maurice Katzman, Ra-
chel Winters, Larry Horwitz, Harriet Mackie, Mel Eisenberg, Shir-
ley. Goldstick, Jack Kaufman, Clare Cahn, Bill Schaeffer, Louise
Strayer, Sandy Mitchell, Shirley Miller. Bernie Bressler and
Heather Lepofsky. Carol's host was Steve Busker.

Jack Stone were united in mar-
riage. Rabbi Jacob Segal offici-
ated.
The bride, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs.. Joseph Cohen, of 2719
Glendale, chose a gown of ivory
satin, highlighted by an insert-
ed nylon yoke that was edged
with rhinestones and seed pearls
and surrounded by chantilly
lace, at the bodice. An overskirt
of matching lace fell over the
bouffant skirt of satin, which
extended into a cathedral train,
•The bride's tiered veil of silk
illusion was caught to her head
by a Queen Anne crown of lace
and seed pearl appliques. She
carried three white orchids,
sprays of phaelanopsis and
streamers of stephanotis on a
white Bible.
Mrs. , Shirley Rosenwasser and
Mrs. Harriette Sarnoff served
jointly as matrons-of-honor,
and bridesmaids were Mrs. Ruth
Erhlich, sister of the bridegroom
from El Paso, Tex., Ilene Moor,
Joyce Licht, Leba Cutler,
Phyllis Schwartz and Mrs.
Lynne Guttentag.
The bridegroom, son of Mr,
and Mrs. Morris Stone, of Glen-
dale Ave., was assisted by his
brother, Allen Stone, as best
man. Seating the guests were
Sidney Forbes, the bride's
brother, Philip Entin, Robert
Brody, Fred Cherney, Nat Tarn-
apol and Frank Glussman.
The bride's grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Entin, came
here from Indianapolis, Ind. to
attend the wedding. Following
a wedding trip to Acapulco,
Mexico, the couple will reside at
23620 Gardner, Oak Park, Mich.
