Re-Zoning for Stables
Perils Baltimore Hospital
BALTIMORE, (JTA) — Action
to prevent re-zoning of proper-
ty east of the Pitnlo Race Track
that would allow building of
stables within 300 feet of prop-
erty of the Associated Jewish
Charities of B a 1 t i more was
launched here by the latter
agency.
The re-zoning would affect the
development of a $16,000,000
medical center. The Baltimore
City Council previously passed
the re-zoning application but it
was vetoed by the Acting Mayor.
A resolution opposing the re-
zoning plan was adopted by the
board of the agency and sub-
mitted to the Mayor, Council
President and all members of
the Council in anticipation of
an attempt to secure passage of
the application over the mayoral
veto.
A delegation representing the
Jewish groups directly concern-
ed also called upon Mayor D'Ale-
sandro.
ary- of its founding.
The cup is patterned after a
cup in a communion set given
the Lutheran Church in 1799 by
Aaron Levy, founder of Aarons-
burg. Levy also donated the site
on which the church stands.

New Salmon Pack Shipments
Received in Detroit Area
Shipments of new pack sal-
mon have been received in this
area and are now available on
retail grocer's shelves, according
to reports from local market op-
erators.
Reports also indicate that the
quality is exceedingly high al-
though the quantity of pack is
below early expectations. The
salmon again showed their dis-
dain for the "regular high and
low cycle" predictions of fishery
experts by appearing in the
North Pacific fishing areas in
small quantities for the third
straight year.
Members of the salmon indus-
try point out that though the
salmon trend is to run in a pre-
dictable spawning circle, there
are many other influences such
as low streams, flood streams
and other acts of nature that
tend to upset the trend.
