Abe Kasle, • chairman of the Cohen Testimonial Committee, under whose direction the gath- ering was arranged, speaking in behalf of the Hebrew Schools and the Jewish Welfare Feder- ation, praised Mr. Cohen for his work for the schools and for local campaigns, in addition to his activities for the Balfour Balls. Hershman recalled Mr. Cohen's many communal deeds and declared that in this case the septuagenarian's char- acter is his best praise.
