7)r. Lipkin Asks Aid
For Proposed Netty
Israel Medical Bldg.

Depressed by the lack of facili-
ties of the Israel Medical. Asso-
ciation in Tel Aviv, Dr. Ezra
Lipkin, upon his return from
Israel, made a plea for assistance
ts a movement to establish ade-
quate headquarters for this as-
sociation. He said he was con-
fident that the advancement of
the medical organization also
Would react to the benefit of
medical practice in the Jewish
state.
Dr. Lipkin, -who addresSed the
Israel Medical Association dur-
ing his visit in Tel Aviv, said
that the structure at 9 Yavneh
St., Tel Aviv, "was anything but
% inviting, consisting in fact of
an outdated wooden structure
on a dimly-lit street. It is en-
tered through a nondescript
gate to a rooth•Which could oth-
erwise be mistaken for storage
space."
He added that the physical
-setup of the medical meeting
room "contrasted very - glaringly
with the intellectual caliber of
the members," and he praised-
the desire of the Israeli doctors
to keep thoroughly aware of sci-
entific thought and research.
"To correct such an anomaly,"
Dr. Lipkin said, " a movement is
now afoot to build a modern
structure befitting the type of
organization which the Israel
Medical Association has proved
to be. A lot has been purchased
near the *ZOA Zionist House in
Tel Aviv, and the Affiliates of
the Israel • Medical Association
are raising funds for the erec-
tion of an appropriate building
to suit the needs of- the organi-
zation."
Those desiring to assist in this
project are asked to communi-
cate with Dr. Lipkin.
