Honored for 30 Years' Hillel Service 10—DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Friday, October 9, 1953 ti Letter to Adenauer Exposes _Ex-Nazis In Bonn Regime $233,000,000 Foreign Money Budget Approved by Israel JERUSALEM, (IIP) — Israel's Foreign Currency Budget was approved by t h e Cabinet. It stands at $233,000,000. The Budget was draWn up on the assumption that the Ameri- can Grant-in-Aid would be $50,- 000,000, and that Jewish con- tributions would bring in about $67,000,000. The Israel bond drive is expected to contribute $32,000,000 toward this sum. Last year the Bond Drive accounted for $29,100,000. For the first time in a foreign currency budget a reserve of $37,000,000 is marked down for the payment of debts. Nearly $37,000,000 have been alloted for investment in indus- try, agriculture and power. Food expenditure was cut from $43,600,000 last year to $41,600,000. This cut was partly enabled through an increase in home production. BONN, (JTA)—In a letter to Federal Chancellor Adenauer, a prominent, young journalist Mi- chael Heinze-Mansfeld, exposes a number of senior officials of the present Federal government as key men in the Nazi exter- mination effort against the Jews.
