City of Hope Men Plan Dinner-Dance
The Detroit Businessmen's
Group of the City of Hope will
hold its annual dinner-dance on
Nov. 1, at the Sheraton Cadillac
hctel, it was announced this
week by N. R. Epstein, president.
Epstein, Morris Canvasser, Ben
Goldberg and Morris L. Fruman
are among the organization's
leaders who will play hosts to
the annual event, which this
year Celebrates the 40th anni-
versary of the national medical
center at Duarte, Calif.
In reporting an intensive
drive for funds in connection
with the anniversary celebra-
tion, Epstein pointed out that
the hospital's first rule is: "No
one pays who enters; no one
enters who can pay."
Funds from the campaign are
sent to the City of Hope for ex-
panding facilities and research
in tuberculosis, cancer, heart
disease and leukemia.
