to three years' imprisonment on
three charges involving an at-
tempt to plant a bomb in the
Ministry of Education, May 25th.-
The judge warned that future
sentences will be more severe for
those who use violence or at-
tempt to impose their opinions
on officials.
The Foreign Ministry is study-
ing the possibility of protesting
to the Security Council over
Egyptian seizure of the G r e e k

because the vessel is carrying
asphalt destined for Eilat.

books published in the United
States. On the basis of an
understanding reached with the
American authorities, he will be
able to sell up to $18,000 worth
of books for Israel currency
which will be deposited with the
U.S. Consulate in Tel Aviv and
later paid to his account in
America by the State Depart-
ment in dollars at the rate of
$1.40 per Israel pound. This is
the first experiment in selling
American - produced Yiddish
books in Israel with the en-
couragement of the U.S. Gov-
ernment.

Malben, the Joint Distribution Committee's program on behalf of
aged, ill and handicapped newcomers to the new state. The Joint
Distribution Committee is one of the three constituent agencies
of the United Jewish Appeal. Others are the United Israel Appeal
and the United Service for New Americans.
