Jar Strawberry Preserves Following directions on the box of Manischewitz Sponge Cake Mix, bake In an ungreased 10" by 4" tube pan. When cool, split in half to form two layers. Beat egg whites until stiff, add- ing sugar gradually. Saving a few whole berries for garnish, crush the strawberry preserves until fine, and sarefUlly fold into egg white meringue. Spread between layers of cake, and pile on top and around sides. Garnish top with whole berries.
