Carol Altman Weds
Stephen A. Bromberg
MRS. STEPHEN A. BROMBERG
In a ceremony Sept. 1, at
Temple Israel, Carol Lois Alt-
man, daughter of Dr. and Mrs.
Raphael Altman, of 18645 Rose-
lawn, was united in marriage
to Stephen Aaron Bromberg, of
Windsor, Ont., son of Mr. Paul
D. Bromberg and Mrs. Jacob D.
Geller.
The bride wore a gown of
Italian silk taffeta, fashioned
with a fitted bodice that was
appliqued with hand-run alen-
con lace. Her bouffant skirt
with matching lace fell into a
traditional train. A fingertip
veil of silk illusion fell in two
tiers from her crown of orange

wedding ceremony of Arthur
Herbert Fields and Jane Ruth
Ciolek on Aug. 24. Rabbi Jacob
Segal officiated at the candle-
light double-ring ceremony.
The bride wore a ballerina-
length ice-blue gown of slipper
satin, net and lace, trimmed
with -tiny pearls. She wore a
Mogen Dovid around her neck
The . ice-blue cap was 'made of
matching lace and pearls, trim-
med with a shoulder length veil.
Beverly Fields, of Los Angeles,
sister of. the bridegroom, was
. matron of honor, and Mrs. Sher-
man Grosslight,. his aunt, was
matron • of honor. Renee Fields,
another - sister, was bridesmaid,
and Lynda Drapkin was junior
bridesmaid. •
Al Rice was the bridegroom's
best man. Ushers included' Dave
Levine and Terry Grosslight,
Leslie Grosslight was ring bear-
er. Also in the ceremony were
Ernest Levin and the bride-
groom's mother, Mrs. Sally
Fields.
Mr. Fields is known more
prominently as Artie Fields, the
band leader. His wife is a dancer.

the couple left for a weddirig
trip to The Balsams, N e w

Neg6v Project Supplies Water
TEL AVIV, (JTA)—The Negev
Water Project, designed to sup-
ply water for drinking and irri
gation purposes to settlements
in Israel's southern desert re-
gion, is now supplying 35,000,000
cubic meters of water annualy
to these settlements, N. Lifshitz,
manager of the project, report-
ed. He revealed that 800.-
000 dunams (200,000 acres) are
being irrigated in the Negev by
the Mekroth Water Company
and the project.

Country Club was the scene of
the wedding ceremony of Muriel
Silberstein and Burton Slatkin
on Sept. 2. Rabbi Minard Klein
officiated. •
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lawrence Sil-
berstein, of 1600 Lincolnshire
Mr. Slatkin is the son of Mr
Mark Slatkin, of Muirland Ave.,
and the late Mrs. Slatkin. Rela-
tives and friends looked on the
all-pink wedding from the Club's
spacious terrace.
Muriel chose a blush - pink!
gown of peau de soie with hand--
corded alencon lace appliques,
and featured a snug bodice anti
off-the-shoulder neckline that
fell into short sleeves. She wore
gauntlets that came to a point
over her hands. Her bouffant
skirt, •which fell into a cathed -
ra3 train, was appliqued with two
lace flowers, each of which ma.s
centered with a lustrous pearl
and- - surrounded by sparkling
tear drops.
Her veil of French illusion
was two-tiered and of fingertip
length. It fell from a Queen Ann
cap of matching lace. Her flow-.
ens were fleur d'amcur and pha.-
elanopsis, centered with an or-.
Chid and trailing ivy.
Seema Silberstein was her
sister's maid of honor, and Mrs
Joseph Jacobson served as ma-
tron of honor. Bridesmaids were
Edythe Colton, Jane Bernstein ;
cf New York, MrS. Arthur Smith
Mrs. Reuben Snore, of Chicago,
and Mrs. Norma Stern.
Lawrence Slade was the bride-
groom's- best. man, and ushers
included Robert Siliman, Arthur
Smith, Edward Singer, Louis
Starr, Manuel Schubiner, and
Telford Slatkin, the bridegroom's
cousin.
Following a buffet supper and
reception at Franklin Hills, tho
couple left for an extended trip
to the Caribbean and South
America. They plan to reside In
Detroit.
