In a New Year message sent
to The Jewish News, Mayor Al-
bert E. Cobo of Detroit acclaims
the Tercentenary of U. S. Jew-
ry. His message follows:
On behalf of all the citizens
of our City, as well as for my-
self and my family, I extend
to you and the Jewish com-
munity of Greater Detroit
greetings and good wishes on
the solemn occasion of your
New Year.
It has come to my attention
that during this coming year
special commemoration of the
300th anniversary of the corn-
ing of the first Jews to the
colonies on these shores will

Our Religious School Opens Sunday Morning, Sept. 13. at 9:30 A.M.
