The group includes Chana Eisler, Charlotte Goldberg, Aud- rey Parker, Isolde Rubel, Bever- ly Somberg, Annette Stollman, David Appel, Stanley Gutterman, Steven Medow, David Silber and Ancil Zeitak. These young people, all recent high school graduates, will join with 59 other youths from all parts of the United States and Canada, and will leave aboard the SS Independence. A f t e r docking in Italy, they will leave on an Israeli ship for the Jewish state. The program, arranged in co- operation with Israeli authori- ties, is a work and study ar- rangement whereby the youths work four hours and study four hours each day. A hike through the N e g e v, stays at two kibbutzim, visits to settlements, industries, points of interest and a seminar at the Berl Katznelson Institute are in- cluded in the nine month pro- gram. Upon their return next June, these young people will be ex- pected to assume leadership of their Habonim groups and to encourage other youths to be- come better acquainted with Is- rael, its life and its people. Those interested in attending similar programs in the future, even though they are not mem- bers of Habonim, are urged to call at the Labor Zionist office, 13722 Linwood.
