Rabbi and Mrs. Israel I. Halpern and children, Larry, Rella and
Eli, are now residing in their new home at 3222 W. Buena Vista.
Mr. and Mrs. Sol Gura, of 17317 Roselawn, were honored on
their 25th wedding anniversary with a dinner at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Rabinovitz, of 4052 Sturtevant. Mr. and
Mrs. Isadore Wisotsky, of Chicago, Ill. , came here for the occasion.
Leon Gura, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Gura, of Roselawn Ave.,
has left for Philadelphia, Pa., where he will finish his fourth year
of graduate study in the Institute for Israel and the Middle East
at Dropsie College.
Mrs. Sidney Averbuch, daughter, Ellen, and son Howard, have
returned from a vacation at Charlevoix, Mich.
Recent guests at Clover Lodge included the H. Ashers and son,
Arthur, the Meyer Berks, Mrs. Berkowitz, the Ralph Bermans, A.

the A. Gottliebs and family, Mrs. Max Kahn, daughter, Cynthia,

A. J. Lachovers, 0. B. Lanyis and family, Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Moss
and family, the H. Raskins, A. Rosens and family, N. Razumna, the

Mrs. Charles Tukel and children, Goldie and Irving, have
returned here after a five-week motor trip through the West
and California.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Berman, their daughter, Joyce, and son,
Jack, of 3742 Pasadena, were recent vacationers at the Flamingo
Hotel, Las Vegas, Nev..
Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Simons and daughter, Janet Susan,
formerly of Kentucky Ave., are now in their new residence at
24020 Ithaca, Oak Park.

Eleven Detroiters will leave on
Sept. 26 for Israel where they
will participate in the T h i r d
Habonim Workship.
The group includes Chana
Eisler, Charlotte Goldberg, Aud-
rey Parker, Isolde Rubel, Bever-
ly Somberg, Annette Stollman,
David Appel, Stanley Gutterman,
Steven Medow, David Silber and
Ancil Zeitak.
These young people, all recent
high school graduates, will join
with 59 other youths from all
parts of the United States and
Canada, and will leave aboard
the SS Independence. A f t e r
docking in Italy, they will leave
on an Israeli ship for the Jewish
state.
The program, arranged in co-
operation with Israeli authori-
ties, is a work and study ar-
rangement whereby the youths
work four hours and study four
hours each day.
A hike through the N e g e v,
stays at two kibbutzim, visits to
settlements, industries, points of
interest and a seminar at the
Berl Katznelson Institute are in-
cluded in the nine month pro-
gram.
Upon their return next June,
these young people will be ex-
pected to assume leadership of
their Habonim groups and to
encourage other youths to be-
come better acquainted with Is-
rael, its life and its people.
Those interested in attending
similar programs in the future,
even though they are not mem-
bers of Habonim, are urged to
call at the Labor Zionist office,

Annette Stollman will be hon-
ored by her parents at a recep-
tion at their home, 4031 Leslie, 2
to 5 p.m. Sunday, prior to her
departure.
