three-year-old daughter, Sho-

18-year-old son is doing with
the Israel Army; how her
husband, a mechanical engi-

Visit from Sister in Israel
Fills 30 Years of Absence
After 30 years—a double sim-
cha—a marriage and a reunion!
It was the marriage of her
niece that brought Mrs. Miriam
Levenson some 5,000 miles, from
Kiryat Chaim, Israel to Detroit,
and reunited her with her sis-
ter, Mrs. Morris Stein, whom
she hadn't seen ,for 30 years.
The exciting voyage—the very
first directly from Israel to the
United States aboard the S.S.
Jerusalem, which was making
its maiden trip under the Is-
raeli flag—was secondary to the
anxiety she experienced waiting
to see her sister and her family,
Mrs. Levenson said.
And Mrs. Stein—well, as soon
as she learned her sister was
planning to attend the wedding
of her daughter, Beverly, to
Donald L. Kay, she admits, it
wasn't always easy to concen-
trate on wedding plans.
Getting re-acquainted as most
everyone will agree, is a won-
derful experience, but when two
people haven't seen each other
since one was seven years old,
it's really a matter of getting
acquainted, not re-acquainted.
