Here is how Detroiters fared in the District elections: Mrs. Charles Solovich, past president of the District, Detroit Council and Pisgah Chapter here, was elected to a three- year term as representative to national BBYO. They learned, like others in similar straits, that it is quick action by the National Founda- tion for Infantile Paralysis which enabled their children to show no scars from the disease. Although the work of the 36 members is dedicated through- out the year to supporting the work of the March of Dimes, a special program has been ar- ranged this year, with all pro- ceeds going specifically to fight polio. The event, a games party, is scheduled for 8 p.m., July 29, in the Mayfair Room, and will feature prizes, awards and re- freshments. A special appeal has been issued by the women to all Detroit mothers to attend and join the war on infantile paralysis.
