Mr. and Mrs. GeOrge Steinberger, of Monterey Ave., have re-
turned from a weekend trip to Cleveland where they visited
former Detroiters Mr. and Mrs. Robert Roth and family.
A farewell party in honor of Morris Spitzer, manager of the
Detroit Joint Board, Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America
(CIO), was held last week prior to Mr. Spitzer's departure for
Israel, which he will tour as a member of the fifth Histadrut Folk
Delegation. The celebration was tendered by David Chaney, man-
ger of the Michigan Joint Board of ACWA.
Included among those who this week were admitted to the
_Michigan State Bar are Dorothy Lublin, Richard B. Kramer, Eliot
Gerber, Solomon Goodman, Nathan Gersten, Ruth G. Blumrosen,
Alfred W. - Blumrosen, Samuel Schwartz, Joel Rosner, Bernard
Zack, all of Detroit, and Jack MoskoWitz of Oak Park.
Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Forbes and daughter, Janice, of Lawton
Ave., attended the graduation exercises of their son, Hubert
Forbes, June 14 at Brandeis University. Forbes is the first stu-
dent from the Mid-West to be graduated from Brandeis. He was
one of six seniors from his class of 110 to be elected to the Univer-
sity's Honor Society and will soon be inducted into Phi Beta
Kappa.
The members of the American Haven Club were entertained
at a luncheon by Mrs. Max Kaminsky. Mrs. Michlin of the Pion-
eer Women was guest speaker. .
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hyman, 3755 W. Grand, are enjoying
their honeymoon at Nautilus Hotel, Miami Beach.
Mrs. Barney Aaron, new president of East Side Chapter, Bnai
Brith, recently honored her co-officers and board members with
a luncheon at L'Aiglon's.
Mr. Irving Belinsky and daughter, Brenda, of Glendale Ave.,
are in San Diego, Calif., on a visit with their son and brother,
Arnold, who is stationed there with the U. S. Navy. They are the
house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Sepsis, of Hollywood.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest C. Armstrong, of Santa Barbara Dr. ,will
leave on Monday for New York where they will travel aboard the
SS Mauretania for Dublin, Ireland, for a visit with Mr. Arm-
strong's family. Prior to returning about Sept. 1, the Armstrongs
will visit in France, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.
Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Brostoff, of Richton Ave., announce the
adoption of Marsha Ellen, born on Dec. 31, 1952.
Honoring the birthday of their daughter, Shirley, Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Weinstock, of Sturtevant Ave., tendered a sweet sixteen
