ing officers on June 17: Mes-
dames Isadore Levin, president;
Jack Isbee, Louis Cohen, vice-
presidents ; Renee Rochelle,
treasurer; Bennet Bider, Hugo
Apt, secretaries.
The first executive meeting
was at the home of Mrs. Isadore
Levin June 20. Plans were for-
mulated .for the coming year.
The organization is affiliated
with the national association of

States, led by Samuel Spar,
executive secretary of the ,Miz-
rachi Organization of America,
will leave New York for a tour
of Israel, July 5. The delegation
will attend the laying of the
cornerstone of the Bar-Ilan Uni-
versity in Ramat Gan, July 28.
Dr. Pinkhos Churgin, president-
designate of the university, an-
nounced that Israeli President
Yitzchak Ben-Zvi and Premier
David Ben-Gurion will be among
dignitaries at t h e ceremony.
Delegates are exPected from all
over the world.
Among the Detroiters to at-
tend the celebration will be Mrs.
Isaac Rosenthal, Arthur Selmar.
Simon Knoppow, So]. B. Edel-
man, Louis Rose and Mr. and
Mrs. Sol Framowitz. Other De-
troit Mizrachi leaders plan to
join this -delegation.
Twenty family groups will
meet at the Mogen Abraham
Synagogue of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah, Dexter and Cortland,
Sunday, 10:45 a.m., for the ded-
ication of Yahrzeit Lights in
memory of departed parents
and relatives.
The next function of this na-
ture is scheduled for September
at the beginning of the new
