Ernstein, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Abe Ernstein, 18468 Pennington,
in a ceremony June 21 at the
Shaarey Zedek. Rabbis Morris
Adler and Abraham M. Hersh-
man offidiated.
Maid of honor was Lois Ern-
stein, and bridesmaids were Hen-
rietta Hermelin, Beverly Jane
Falk, Marilyn Alice Spiro, and
Rita Phyllis Tessler. Best man
was Robert Michael Cantor, and
ushers were Allan Mendelsohn,
Earl Ernstein, Seymour Levine,
Joseph Litvin, Marvin Dubrinsky
and Marvin Gersuk.
The . bride wore a princess
gown of white mousseline de
sole and alencon lace. The bodice
was fashioned with an off-the-
shoulder illusion neckline and
long sleeves. Seed pearls and
irridescent rosettes touched the
lace. The great skirt of the gown
swept into a formal train and
was accented with floral appli-
ques of the alencon lace. A
triple-tiered veil of silk illusion
fell from her queen's crown. She
carried orchids and stephanotis.
The couple will honeymoon in
Beach, after which they
will reside in Detroit.

Michigan State Federation of
Temple Sisterhoods at their
spring me e t i n g, June 17, at
Temple Beth El. Preceding the
meeting a luncheon was served.
Twenty - five members, repre-
senting Flint, Lansing, Detroit,
Pontiac and Muskegon, were
present.
Topics of discussion included
the coming Michigan State
Temple Youth Camp conclave
to be held over Labor Day and
the state sisterhood biennial
convention to be held in Grand
Rapids, Oct. 4, 5 and 6. A tro-
phy . will be awarded to further
interest in Temple Teens debate
activity. T h e resignation of
Mrs. Percy Newman, of Detroit,
as State Youth Activity chair-
man, was announced. Her post
will be held by Mrs. Herman
Dickstein, of Pontiac.
Following the business meet-
ing, a panel discussion on "Good
Programming" was presented
Mrs. David Kahn, of Lansing,
was moderator. Panel members
were Mesdames Harry Arnkoff,

troit; Harvey Steadman,' Lan-

partment, Jewish War Veterans,
Sol M. Hoberman was elected
departmental commander. Oth-

Acquit Nazi Who Killed Jews
KARLSRUHE, (JTA)—A Nazi
official, Oberjustizsekretar Rie-
ger, sentenced to penal servitude
for life a few years ago for
slaughtering Jews in the Polish
town of Izbica, near Lublin, and
now acquitted on the basis of a
sworn statement by a Nazi col-
league, has announced he will
seek compensation and rein-
statement into his former post
in the German judicial adminis- 12
tration.

of chantilly lace and nylon tul-
le, a tiny-fitted bodice of chan-
tilly lace with off-the-shoulder
neckline, skirt of nylon tulle
with inserts of lace with irides-
cent Oates. Her very full skirt
extended into a cathedral train.
She wore a Juliet cap of match-
ing lace with tiny seed pearls,
and a three-tiered veil of silk
illusion. She carried orchids and
stephanotis on a prayer book.
The matron of honor was Mrs.
Arthur C. Danto; bridesmaids,
Thelma Smith, Sharon Robin-
son, Davida Robinson, Shirley
Dorb.
The best man was Dr. Arthur
C. Danto, and ushers included
Gerald Sherbin, Roger Lewis,
Clifford Klayman, Jack Thomas,

The couple will honeymoon at
Edgewater Beach in Chicago.

PEN Club Accepts
Invitation to Israel

tive of the International P.E.N.
Congress—the organization of
poets, essayists and novelists—
has decided to accept an invita-
tion from the Israel Govern-
ment to hold the 1955 congress
in Israel. The decision was
greeted enthusiastically by the
delegates.
