Kol Haam Editor Acquitted

JERUSALEM, (JTA) — Zvi
Breitstein, editor of the Com-
munist daily newspaper, Kol.
Haam, was acquitted of charges
of "offending an official repre-
sentative of a friendly country."
He was arrested on May 11.
The charge arose from Kol
Haam's violent propaganda
campaign against Secretary of
State John Foster Dulles during
and prior to his recent visit to
Israel.
A district court threw out the
charges on grounds that they
were not drafted properly. The
Attorney General has indicated
that he will not appeal to the
Supreme Court.
