The National Committee to
Secure Justice in the Rosenberg
Case claims to have secured a
great deal of new evidence to
substantiate its claims for clem-
ency for Julius and Ethel Rosen-
berg whose appeal against the
death sentence given upon them
on the charge of espionage is
pending in the U.S. Supreme
Court. Joseph Brainin is the
spearhead of the clemency
movement. The view generally
accepted is that if the Rosen-
bergs would "talk"—exposing
facts that have not been aired
in the espionage charge against
them—that they would have a
chance to save their lives.

A human interest item, related
by LeOnard Lyons: "Gen. Julius
Ochs Adler. had a faithful Chi-
nese orderly named Mo, in the
first world war. One day Mo
came to Gen. Adler's office at
the N.Y. Times, and asked for a
$500 loan. He would state no
reason, other than he had to
have it. Gen. Adler gave him the
$500. The next day, Gen. Adler's
wedding • day, a truckload of
Chinese gifts arrived—a wed-
ding gift from the former order-
ly to the General and his bride.
It was worth at least $500—and
for the next few months, in $5
and $10 bits, the Chinese repaid
the $500 loan."

Libertarians are elated over

ious and racial hatred.
