Milk,_ a scarce commodity in Israel, will soon be available in
increased quantities to meet the needs of the young republic's ex.
panding population, With the assistance of funds from the Israeli
bond issue, the Tituva Dairy was recently completed at a c st of
1,000,000 Israel pounds. Here we see milk., which has already been
pasteurized and processed, being cooled in a special stainless steel
machine that was purchased with Israel bond proceeds. The dairy
plant, largest in the Middle East, is now producing 160,000squarts
of milk, fourteen tons of cheese, fours tons of butter, large quan-
tities of cream and other products during an eight-hour shift,
With additional Israel bond funds„ the plant will soon be able
