Maureen D. Pritz, 2336 Glendale, has been chosen as the
"Sweetheart" of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity of Michigan State
College and will compete in the national competition at Atlantic
City in September.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Friedman were honored with a family din-
ner in celebration of their 55th wedding anniversary, at the home
of their son, Saul Friedman, in Oak Park.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Marx, of Woodingham Dr., have returned
from a two-week trip to San Francisco, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rosenstein and daughters Nancy and
Jane, of South Bend, Ind., are in Detroit as 'Decoration Day week
end guests of Mrs. Rosenstein's mother, Mrs. M. Siegel, of Penn-
ington Dr.
Mrs. Abe Katzman, of Fairfield Ave., entertained 38 guests at
a recent luncheon and miscellaneous shower at L'Aiglon's in hon-
or of her niece, Rita Katzman, whose forthcoming marriage to
Maynard Cutler will be solemnized on June 23, at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.
Mr. and Mrs. David A. Levine, of 19363 Sussex, were entertain-
ed recently at a surprise party given on the occasion of their 35th
wedding anniversary by their children, Mr.' and Mrs. Hersehel H.
Levine, Dr. and Mrs. Louis Gorzek and Seymour J. Levine.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sborow, of 20471 Sheffield, recently returned
from a three-month trip to France and Israel. In the latter coun-
try, they visited with their relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rosberg, of Lesure Ave., are honeymooning

at the Nautilus Hotel, in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. Louis M. Elliman, of the Belcrest Hotel, is currently in
.Dublin, Ireland on a visit with his mother, Mrs. M. Elliman. He
will return on June 10.

At a recent dinner party in
their home, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Sheinfeld, of Windsor, Ont., an-
nounced the engagement of
their daughter, Florence, to Dr.
Harold Glen, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Glen, of Detroit.
Dr. Glen is a graduate of
Wayne University and North
western University Medical
School. Miss Sheinfeld current-
ly is enrolled in Wayne's col-
lege of education. The wedding
will be solemnized in June.

Addresses were made at the
ceremonies by Dr. Nahum Gold-

Dr. Ralph Bunche. The Hon.
Justine Wise Polier, national
president of the AJC Women,
made the presentation, which
was accepted for Israel by Am-
bassador Abba Eban.
The completion of the youth
center marks a living memorial
to the founder of the Women's
Division where children in Is-
rael will be trained for leader-
ship. The center will also serve
as a hostel where young people
from all parts of the world may
stay while learning about the
Jewish state.

Arnold Hirsch, of 8920 Quincy,
a graduating senior at Wayne
University, was given two hon-
ors this week, it was announced
by university officials.
Hirsch, editor of the school
paper, The Detroit Collegian,
was , elected to Omicron Delta
Kappa, national honorary lead-
ership society for men, and also
was initiated into the univer-
sity's Mackenzie Honor Society.
