The Women's Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation is
planning a workers' party and its
annual meeting for 12 noon,
Wednesday, June 10, at Franklin
Hills Country Club.
The program committee is
headed by Mrs. Raymond A.
Sokolov. Mrs. Harry Jacobson is
in charge of the serving of food
at a picnic to be made and
transported to the country club.
Top activity of the annual
meeting will be the election of
officers, members to fill vacan-
cies on the board of directors
and representatives to the Fed-
eration board of directors. The
nominating committee, headed
by Mrs. J. Shurly Horwitz, in-
cludes Mesdames Joseph H.
Jackier, Norman Naimark, Jo-
seph Newman, Leonard H.
Weiner and John C. Hopp, ex-
officio.

BBG to Hold Annual
Mother-Daughter Event

Detroit-Windsor Council of
Bnai Brith Girls will present its
second annual mother a n d
daughter banquet at 7 p.m.,
Thursday, in the Park Avenue
Penthouse.
All BEG members and their
mothers are invited to attend.
A corsage for a girl's mother is
included in the admission cost.
Council officers, who will be
installed as part of the program,

Marsha Pliskow, vice-president;
Janice Cohen, Carol Portney,
secretaries ; Eileen Stotsky,
treasurer; Betsy Wilson, report-

special ceremony for individual
chapter presidents will be held,
