- Under the direction of Dr.
Harry Seitz, Central's music de-
partment will present its an-
nual Spring Festival on May 14
and 15 in the school gymna-
sium. Feature presentation of
the choral group will be "The
Fortune Teller."

Recently, a group of future
nurses was organized, at the
suggestion of Mrs. Ruth Edel-
son, director of nurses at Sinai
Hospital, under the leadership
of one of the group's parents,
Mrs. Piver. Ben S. Chinitz, fac-
ulty advisor has aided the group
along in its progress.
The first organization of its
kind at Central, it offers many
possibilities for acquiring knowl-
edge of professional opportuni-
ties in hospitals as nurses, dieti-
cians, physical therapists and
laboratory technicians.

Suitcase packing has already
started as final payments were
made last week for the annual
senior trip. Over 200 graduat-
ing seniors will board the train
for Washington on May 21.
Thanks are extended to Mrs.
Ben Joffe, who so ably handled
senior questions and guided stu-
dents making the trip.

Chief activity around these
halls is the hustle and bustle of
seniors as they prepare for com-
mencement. Graduates - to - be
have already received their pic-
tures, and they are now busy
choosing their .cap and gown
colors. Mumford seniors will be
the first to sport maroon caps
and gowns, while the tassel col-
ors will be maroon and blue.
The class colors are navy and
powder blue.

Saturday night, the Co-Op
City Dance will be held at the
Sheraton Cadillac Hotel, with
many of Mumford's Co-Op's
planning to attend. The crown-
ing of a king and queen will
highlight the evening.

Rex 309 Chapter of AZA has
volunteered its services to the
Civil Defense Program at Hamp-
ton School. Other Mumfordites
joining the CD group are Eileen
Cohen, Reva Rice, Beverly Mill-
er, Bette Aaron, Rheba Rosen-
zweig, Arlene Bechek and Phyl-
lis Philks.

Beth Aaron Sisterhood will
hold its third annual Torah
Fund program at 12:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, in the synagogue social

used for the Jewish Theological
Seminary.
