Former United States Senator
Blair Moody and Roy Reuther,
director of the political action
department of the UAW-CIO,
have been selected as the 1953
recipients of the Community
Service Award of the trade union
branch of the Workmen's Circle.
Branch chairman Max Burns
said the honor had gone to the
two in recognition of a "rendi-
tion of service beyond the re-
quirements of their positions."
Both Moody and Reuther were
chosen for contributions in the
field of political action. Moody's
citation will be conferred upon
him by Mrs. Margaret Price,
chairman . of the Governor's
Youth Commission and Demo-
cratic National 'Committee-
woman.
Reuther will receive his award
from Pat Zimmerman, an Amer-
ican Federation of Labor official
and member of the Michigan
Employment Security Commis-
sion.
Presentation ceremonies will
be held at 8 p. m., April 26, at
the Workmen's Circle Center.
Probate Judge George Edwards
will preside.

At their recent $500 minimum gifts Passover tea, Women's
Division members rallied wholeheartedly in support of the 1953
Allied Jewish Campaign by pledging a substantial increase over
last year's results. Mrs. S. ALEXANDER BRAILOVE, honorary
chairman of the National UJA Women's Division, and HELEN
HAYES, "First Lady" of the Broadway stage, highlighted the
gathering with their addresses. Shown above are (seated, left to
