Mrs. Myerson to Go
Back to Israel Next
Week.. Ending Mission

Plaque in Memory
Of Morris. Fishman

At the meeting of the ,board
of directors of the United He-
brew Schools last week, at the
Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg., a pla-
que was presented to Mrs. Morris
Fishman and her sons, Eman-
uel, Milton and Herman, in tri-
bute to the memory of their
husband and father "for his de-
votion a n d services" to the
schools. In his brief address pre-
senting the plaque to the sur-
vivors of the late active leader
in the schobls, Abe Kasle, presi-
dent of the United Hebrew
Schools said:
"Morris Fishman was one of
those to whom the United He-
brew Schools stood in the very
center of his, life. He was in-
terested in all of its activities.
He was active in the member-
ship campaign and to him it was
not just a -once-a-year project
but a non-ending job. He did
much for the Scholarship Fund.
One of his main activities was in
behalf of High Holiday Services
held in the Rose Sittig Cohen
Building. He planned and man-
aged them with devotion and
loyalty. A few years before he
passed away, he influenced his
son, Ben, to take up some of the
school activities in which he was
vitally interested. Ben was ap-
pointed chairman of the mem-
bership 'committee, to which he
devoted much of his time, en-
ergy and, substance. May their
souls, be bound in the bond of
eternal life".
Herman Fishman accepted the
plaque for the family with an
expression . of gratitude to the
schools.
