To Usher in Passover
The Festival of Liberation—
Passover, marking the exodus of
the Jewish people from the land
of Egypt thousands of years ago,
will be observed in synagogues
and homes throughout the city
beginning at sunset Monday.
Following is a schedule of
synagogue services to be held
Monday evening and the sub-
sequent two _days of synagogue
observance, Tuesday and Wed-
nesday:
Cong. Shaarey Zedek
Passover evening services be-
gin at 6 p.m., morning services
start at 8:45 a.m. On Tuesday,
e Rabbi Adler's sermon topic will
be "The Free Man—Where He Is
and Where He Is Not." Wednes-
day's sermon will be on "Hag-
gadah—What Shall We Tell Our
Children."
Cantor Jacob H. Sonenklar
and choir, under the direction of
Dan Frohman, will officiate at
all services.
Temple Israel
At Sabbath Ha-Gadol services
today, Rabbi Leon Fram will
speak on "Prepare to Welcome
Elijah the Prophet," taken from
the text of Prophet Malakai's
announcement of the coming of
the subject of Rabbi Leizer Lev-
in's sermon at services Saturday.
At Passover evening services
Monday at 6:45 p.m., Rabbi
Chaim Keller will speak on
"Eternal Redemption." At morn-
ing services Tuesday, Rabbi Le-
vin will talk on "Reply to Our
Children."
Cong. Mishkan Israel
Rabbi Isaac Stollman will
speak at Saturday Shabbat Ha-
Gadol services on "The Unique-
ness, of the Great Sabbath."
Passover evening services
begin at 6:30 p.m., with morn-
ing services scheduled for 9
a.m. Rabbi- Stollman's sermon
topics will be on Tuesday,
"Freedom, Past and Contem-
porary," and, on Wednesday,
"Employing the Pressing Mo-
ments." Cantor Sandor Green-
field will officiate at all serv-
ices.

Passover services will begin at
6:30 p.m., Monday, with morn-
ing services set for 8:30 a.m.
Rabbi Joshua S. Sperka will
speak Tuesday on "The Jewish
Home." His sermon for Wednes-
day will be "Let Freedom Ring."

Tuesday, "The Seder—A Pat-
tern for Real Living," and on
Wednesday, "Aids to Freedom
in Our Day."
Cantor Judah Goldring will
chant the prayers and lead in
congregational singing.
Adas Shalom Synagogue
At services this Saturday, the
Bar Mitzvah of Sheldon David
Lax will be observed. Passover
evening services begin at 6 p.m,
and morning services at 8:30
a.m. Rabbi Jacob E. Segal will
officiate and preach the ser-
mons, assisted by Cantor Nich-
olas Fenakel and synagogue
choir.
A feature of services will be
the musical arrangements cre-
ated for the services, to be ren-
dered by Cantor Fenakel and
the choir, which is directed by
