charges that the State Depart-
ment official failed to mention,
in his reports, "the torture
chambers, - t h e extermination
ovens, the murder of one mil-
lion two hundred thousand Jew-
ish children, and of many mil-
lions of other European peoples."
It is in a sense a frightening
'book. Unfortunately, it is con-
vincing. It points to a new
menace—stemming from a com-
bination of Nazis and Commu-
nists.

For Judgeship
Samuel W. Leib, who has been
active in communal affairs for
many years, is receiving the
backing of many friends and
associates in Bnai Brith and
other movements for the post of
Wayne County Circuit Judge. He
is one of the 18 nominees who
will be voted upon on April 6.
In an address before the
Women's League last week, Leib
urged the establishment of a
Domestic Relations Dilision. of
Wayne Circuit Court to handle
divorce cases exclusively and, to
have the judges personally bring
about reconciliation.
Leib has been engaged in, the
active practice of law for 24
years since his graduation from
the University of Michigan. A
past president of District Grand
Lodge N6. 6, Bnai Brith, Leib has
fought for the protection of
civil rights, working with the
Anti Defamation League of
Bnai Brtih. A Goodfellows Old
Newsboy, member of the Detroit
Loyalty Commission by appoint-
