there two months ago, it was re-
ported by Dr. Israel Goldstein,
president of the American Jew-
ish Congress, addressing a meet-
ing of the national administra-
tive committee of the organiza-
tion, following his return from
Germany where he spent five
days interviewing Jews who fled

ice council, at its third annual
dinner, raised approximately 61
per cent of the amount the en-
tire division achieved in the
1952 campaign.
George D. Keil, chairman of
the council, said that pledges
made at the affair showed an
increase of about 11% over those
made at the dinner last year.

the advanced gifts meeting for
that group.• The women's ap-
parel and'the men's apparel sec-
tion of the mercantile division
as well as the pharmacists and
physicians of the professional
division met this week.
