OPEN SUNDAY 14 t 3 P. M.

OPEN MONDAY to 9 P. M.

Saluting the Jewish communi-
ty on the occasion of Passover,
Senator Homer Ferguson wished
peace and contentment to Amer-
ican Jewry and to Israel. Sen-
ator Ferguson stated:
"It is always refreshing for a..
citizen of these United StateS to
go back into history and find
the origins of our own indeperi-
dence many centuries later. For
your people, too, this happy and
festive holiday marks your own
`Independence Day,' thousands
of years ago. It must be .inspir-
ing to your people to remember
that centuries ago the Jewsleft
bondage in the ancient land of
Egypt and began theii. 'lives as
a free people. - .
"All Americans, of whatever
faith, believe that freedetin is a
God-given blessing to mankind.
Therefore, your PaSsov.et,' with
its concept of liberty; is a fine
contribution to the enlightened
development of our civilization.
"What especially interests me
about your holiday of Passover
is the tradition of uniting the
family in the home in loving
customs and i_n prayer. My ex-
periences as a Judge on the Cir-
cuitCourt led me to believe that
the united and loving family is
the basis of law and order and
our civilization. Build.. the home
well and you build lasting values
and fine citizens."
