Mizrachi Sends Hundreds
Of Scrip Certificates

A typical request for aid, re-
ceived by the Detroit Mizrachi
office, from Yad Hamaavir, Is-
rael, reads: "Dear Jewish
Friends: Regina M. , a war
widow, with children, Esther
and Samuel, refugees from
Communist Europe, living in Is-
rael in a Maabarah (Olim
Camp), need help, a food gift
certificate for Passover. I trope
that you will find a donor for
my family in your organization
or in JeWish families in your
city."
Detroit Mizrachi has been
sending food packages to needy
families in Israel. Mizrachi, in
conjunction with American Eretz.
Israel Corporation, has sent
Mo'os Hitim food scrips to more
than '700 families. Hundreds
more, like Regina M.
await help.
