Hechtman-Conway Rites
Slated for Late Fall

Once again, Simon and Schus-
ter (00 5th Ave., NY20) have
come forth with a Big Golden
Book that will fascinate young
readers.
The new volume is "The Big
Golden Book of Facts About' the
U.S.A." Accompanying .it is a
"Jig-Saw Map of Our Country."
Both were prepared by Marion
Conger, who had the splendid
cooperation of Harry McNaught
who drew the attractive pictures.
The story about Michigan,
like those of other states, is told
in simple terms, but it contains
many facts that will be new to
the young readers..
"Michigan," this story reads,
"was . first explored by the
French, and French names re-
main throughout the state.-Even
some of the cars made in Detroit

plorers."
