Mr. and Mrs. Moe Feldman and family have returned to De-
troit, following a winter's vacation in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Saul Saulson, of Stratford Rd., have returned
home following a month's stay in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Max Osnos is leaving for a trip to Israel with a delegation
representing the Palestine Economic Corporation.
Leon Kay has returned from New York where he attended
the economic conference of the Zionist Organization of America.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kass, of 18709 Steel; will celebrate their
golden wedding anniversary at their home on Sunday afternoon.

Striking Shoe Workers

A contribution of $150, don-

striking CIO shoe workers in
Rockford, Mich., was acknowl-
edged last week by Elaine Nor-
ton, secretary of the Union.
In its letter of thanks, the
*union, on strike since September
of last year, said, " . . from

thank you for your wonderful

action in collecting staple goods
for Rockford families and stag-
ing socials to which admission
is $1 or more in canned goods,
it was announced by Dave Plas-

ruch Bendersky, Argentine Jew-
ish writer, who was known here
as "Argentina's Jewish Rud-
yard Kipling," died at the age
of 73 at the Dominguez Colony
of the Jewish Colonization As-
sociation where he was first set-
tled when he came to Argen-
tina from Bessarabia in 1894.
