"Education of the Jewish Child,"
to be published on March 17 by
the Union of American Hebrew
Congregations, in New York.
The book is a study of the last
25 years in Reform education,
based on a comparison of 200
congregations of various sizes.
It analyzes the function of the
religious school, spotlights what
is wrong in the schools and the
programs that have proVed suc-
cessful.
Dr. Hertz is continuing his du-
ties as assistant rabbi of Chica-
