Kosher fare traditional to
Passover will be assured Jewish
men and women in the armed
forces through a contribution of
Mother's Gefilte Fish and Moth-
er's Borscht by Mother's Food
Products, Inc., of Newark, to the
Union of Orthodox Jewish Con-
gregations of America. The firm
will supply all of the gefilte fish
and borscht scheduled to go into
Union parcels of Passover food
for Jewish men serving in Ko-
rea, Alaska, Europe and else-

86th St., New York, under the
direction of Abraham Eisenman,
a representative of the Union.
Bernard and Jesse C. Goodwin,

Bnai Brith's Service Committee for the Armed Forces and
Veterans (SCAFV), at its annual meeting, in Philadelphia, voted
to intensify its service to American fighting men in Korea and
hospitalized veterans at home. At the conclusion of the two-day
meeting, the Committee dedicated the Jewish altar it donated to
the Chapel of the Four Chaplains in Philadelphia; the altar was
contributed in memory of Rabbi Alex D. Goode, the Jewish army
chaplain who . perished 10 years ago with one Catholic and two
Protestant chaplains when the "U.S.S. Dorchester" was sunk by
the Nazis. The Committee is shown above, 1. to r., seated: Judge
