On the agenda of many or-
ganizations affiliated with the
Jewish Community Center are
dances commemorating the Pur-
im festival.
"Cowpunchers Cotillion," a
square dance, will be held at
$:15 p.m., Saturday, at Congre-
gation Beth Aaron. It is spon-
sored by the Northwest Teen-
Age Council of the Center.
Representatives of member
groups froM the JCC's Council
of Mothers' Clubs are planning
their annual Purim masquerade
ball, to , be held at 8:30 p.m.,
March 7, at. the Davison branch.
General chairman is Stella
Goldman, of the Fenkell Moth-
ers' club. Co-chairmen include
Anna Libowski, Center Mothers;
Rose Greenberg, 12th Street;
Sophie Bigman, Davison; Lillian
Schwartz, Dexter; Bess Stone,
New Study; Lena Fine, Pasadena,
and Esther Prohow, Mid-Cen-
tury.
Special committees are head-
ed by Bessie Garfinkel, music;
Rose Cherner, refreshments; Lea
Rubel, hospitality; Dina Robins,
mistress of ceremonies; Bessie
Katchan and Len Lutzky, dec-
orations. Prizes will be awarded
for the best interpretations, by
individuals and groups, of the
Purim spirit.
Next "Holiday Hop" of the
WC will be at 9 p.m., March 15,
at the Center. Sponsored by the
holiday hop committee, the
dance features music of Lyle
Carlyle's orchestra.
Harriet Ann Gray and her
troupe of dancers will be on the

Campaign workers of the Lin-
en and Laundry Drivers Section'
of the Services Division, at a
meeting held Sunday, increased
their pledges to the Allied Jew-
ish Campaign by 52% over the
amount pledged last year. -
The 41 workers attending,
members of the Laundry and
Linen Drivers, local 285, A.F. of
L., all made pledges.
Section chairman Isaac Lit-
wak announced the appointment
of Harry Ehrlich, Dave Gold-
smith and Samuel Cascade as
associate chairmen. Participat-
ing in the program of the meet-
ing were John Isaacs, Associate
Chairman of the Services Divi-
sion; Harry Shumer, chairman
of the Services Division of the
Detroit Service Group; and Wil-
liam Avrunin, associate director
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion.
In this section, the campaign
is a joint one for the Allied
Jewish Campaign.
