Brian Zion Celebrates
Thirtieth Anniversary
Congregation Bnai Zion will
celebrate 30 years of service to
the Jewish community this sea-
son. Under the leadership of
Morris Snow, president, the
congregation is mapping . plans
for an anniversary journal, in
which the history of the con-
gregation and its impact on. the
orthodox Jewish community will
be outlined.
Isidore Sosnick, who was for
14 years president of the con-
gregation, will be chairman of
the journal committee. Com-
mittee members are: Herman
Brodsky, Harry Burnstein, Sam
Gutman, Peter Helman, Harry
Higer, Aaron Katz, William Kel-
ler, Abe Miller, Morris Snow,
Joe Weingarden, Meyer Wein-
garden and Joe Weisberg.

JNF Purim "Shalach Morns' Appeal
A Purim appeal has been is-
sued by the Jewish National
Fund Council of Detroit to all
individuals and to the local
synagogues, urging them to pro-
vide funds for land reclamation
and afforestation in Israel on
the coming festival, as gifts to
Israel.

man of the board of the JNF
Council, and Zvi Tomkevich this
week commenced mobilization
of synagogue forces for the an-
nual Purim effort to secure
"shalach monos" for Israel in
the form of gifts to the JNI-P.
Committees are being formed
to conduct the appeals in syna-
gogues,
and individuals are
urged to make their "shalach
monos" gifts in the form of
tree planting, Golden Book in-
scriptions and other traditional
JNF activities.
