Jewish Writers Distort History as Balm for Reds

Traitorous J e w ish Quislings Prague purge trial, the cartoon
with warped minds and poison pictures a Soviet worker ar-
pens are running rampant in resting a Jew who is carrying
the flag of Israel. The caption
Poland.
They are doing their utmost underneath states that the
to further the Soviet cause by worker is "now ready to move
altering history, by giving mis- against diversionists, spies and
information, by telling twisted saboteurs who will meet their
and distorted accounts of brutal- end on the gallows."
ly real happenings.
The Folkstimme, a front for
Poland's Social and Cultural As-
sociation, has sunk to e v en
greater depths. Lengthy . articles
fashion Jewish history as it
never has been recorded.
In one report, Zionism is pic-
tured as a brainchild in "the
minds of British imperialists
whose purpose it now serves."
The article adds that a British
clergyman in the late 19th cen-
tury wrote that the "restoration
of the Jews (was) an idea found
to be useful for colonial and
other aggressive purposes."
A colleague of this writer, in

stating that Zionism is the
enemy of the working people,"
adds that Zionists, through the
years, eagerly negotiated with
kings, tsars, sultans, dictators
and even anti-Semites because
they found that anti-Semitism
served their purposes. The writ-
er's natural conclusion is that
it is Russia that is fighting anti-
Sernitism and not the Zionists.
What a peculiar crusade the

Russians are earring on in be-
half of Judaism! They are ac-
complishing their goal by
slaughtering Jews, by herding
thousands of others off to slave
labor camps and by keeping
the survivors in day to day
terror for fear of their lives.

Taft Favors Israel Aid;
Opposes Arab Arms Sale

-

CLEVELAND, (JTA) — Sen.
Robert A, Taft, the Senate Ma-
jority Leader, said he consider-
ed the State of Israel as a spe-
cial case meriting economic aid
from the United States Govern-
ment. He ' expressed himself
forcefully against • the delivery
and sale of . arms to ',the Middle
East except, he said, as part of
an overall plan against possible
Soviet aggression.
In an interview with corre-
spondents of three Israel news-
papers, Taft declared that he
was opposed to the granting of
economic aid to foreign coun-
tries with a few exceptions in
special cases. He considered Is-
rael one of these special cases.
He said he was opposed to fi-
nancial aid for the Arab States
which, with the possible excep-
tion of Egypt, did not need
money. Saudi Arabia and Iraq,
he asserted have more money
than they know what to do with,

Swedish Court Drops
Claims on 'Anti Judaist'

STOCKHOLM, WJA) — Einar
Aberg, the notorious publisher
and distributor of slanderous
anti-Semitic literature, insisted
this week before a Swedish court
that it was wrong to 'label' him
an anti-Semite. He would con-
sider himself rather an 'anti-
Jud aist,'
He had been summoned be-
fore , a Swedish district court at
Sollentuna-Faerentuna to an-
swer charges of having produced
literature, inciting against Jews,
which had been written in the
English language and made up
in Sweden and reproduced by
photographic offset methods in
Britain and the U. S.
The case was adjourned.

Ramali. Purchases Eastern Camp

A new camp, located at East.
Hampton, Conn., has been ac-
quired by the National Ramah
Commission, according to an an-
nouncement by Maxwell Abbell„
president of the United Syna-
gogue of America and chairman
.of the commission.

Attorney Samuel W. Leib this
week called the attention of the
Jewish Community Council to
the fact that the April 6 gen-
eral election will coincide with
the seventh day of Passover, and
has urged that provisions should
be made in advance for Jewish
voters to be permitted to exer-
cise their rights by the use of
the absentee ballot.
Mr. Leib has asked Senator
Charles Blondy, who three years
ago introduced a bill in the
State Legislature to permit use
of the absentee ballot by ob-
serVant Jews, to sponsor a simi-
lar measure to provide absent
voters' ballots to Jews who would
not otherwise. go to the polls on

The pro
this kind in the Russian and
Jewish press can mean but one
thing: that the purge trial; the
arrest of Jewish doctors and the
general reign of terror have come
as a shock even to the Com-
munist Jews of Russia and her
satellites.
Papers like the Folkstimme
and the writers they employ
serve only one purpose. They
turn Jew against Jew. No longer
do Jews work together 'in Soviet-
dominated Europe; the plague
of Communism has turned once-
Jews into Jew-haters who have
even less scruples than their
Soviet mentors.

JOHN P

I want to express my appreciation of your kindness toward me and far the
numberless considerate acts you did for me. For all these I am sincerer
thankful. I wish I might speak these feelings personally to you, but under
the circumstances this letter must do instead.

During my illness I have given many hours to thoughts of the court and its
future as one of the indispensable cornerstones of government. Hundred*
of my personal friends have sent messages and inquiries about me and my
withdrawal as a candidate for re-election. I could only say to them and to
you that what 1 did I considered best for the people of Detroit.

I am familiar with those who are now candidates for the Recorder's post,
and to my friends I say that any support they might hive given to me I wish
they would give to John P. O'Hare, a man I have known and respected for
over thirty-five years. and whose professional and personal backgrotted
must inspire public confidence.

I know of no more tatting farewell thought for you, my colleagues.. then to
hope you may soon have him with you as my successor.

Sincerely years,
